If you have installed tin, aluminum, or copper decorative ceiling tiles, a decorative metal cornice is the way to go to give your new ceiling that perfect finishing touch.
What Is a Cornice?
What’s the Difference Between Crown Molding and a Cornice?
Last week, we wrote about our beautiful crown moldings, so you might be wondering what the difference is between a crown molding and a cornice. While these two terms are often used interchangeably, we at DecorativeCeilingTiles.net use them to differentiate between materials. We call these design elements crown molding when they are made of styrofoam, but we refer to them as cornices when they are made of one of three metals: tin, aluminum, and copper. That’s why we call them “decorative metal cornices.”
